Our Discipleship Programs

At SCF we believe discipleship is the goal of every church ministry. What is discipleship? Simply put, discipleship is the prayerful Holy Spirit-backed speaking of the Word of God one to another. It involves walking with one another and remaining open to accountability and church discipline. It can occur one to one or in small groups, following established resources (ex. Fundamentals of the Faith, Simeon Trust) or simply reading through a book of the Bible together with someone younger in the faith. Each ministry that follows, though they differ in their makeup or “trellis”, the heart of discipleship or “vine” work remains the same.

IMPORTANT :   Please note that some of our ministries are currently suspended due to pandemic restrictions and your consideration is appreciated.

Our prayer meetings occur every Thursday at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a time of worship, devotion, testimony, and prayer for the needs of our families, communities, church, nation, and world. On the fourth Thursday of the month, we have a family Bible study at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a time of studying the Word, and currently we are working through the book of Acts.
Teens ages 12-17 are encouraged to join our Youth Ministry which meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday nights from 5:00 -7:00pm at Church. These gatherings include a time of games, worship, the Word, pizza, and accountability/prayer!
We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Church for an apologetics discussion, dessert, and board games. We meet every 4th Sunday from 11:00am-12:00pm after Church for growth in community and studying systematic theology together (currently working through the “Foundations” series by RC Sproul).
The men of SCF meet on the 4th Saturday of the month at 5:00pm for a time of exposition of the Word and practical application to our lives. This is followed by a potluck meal with the rest of the Church family.
The women of SCF meet on the 4th Saturdays at 5:00 pm for an evening of Bible study, currently working through the book of Daniel. There is also a women’s discipleship group currently working through “The Fundamentals of the Faith” for those who are interested.
The Women’s Dorcas Ministry meets mid-week in the morning with women from the church and community to stitch clothing for missions and to bond through acts of charity.
This is a men’s ministry two Fridays per month (winter months) from 9-11pm at Huron Park Community Center including a gospel presentation between games. During the summer months, pick-up games are hosted in the Church parking lot.
Always a great time of bonding and retreating to spend time with God, our conferences are currently suspended due to the pandemic. Members will be notified of online conferences which may be of interest in the interim (ex. FEB, TGC, Ligonier, Sing). Our local outreach team also brings forward many events throughout the year to reach our community; from free BBQs after church to movie nights, gatherings to caroling, there are lots of ways you can join us!
Our Care Team is here for you and your family. Beyond loving support for the Church, the care team collects non-perishable food items as well as free-will offerings to help members who are in need. The care team can also help arrange transportation to and from Church. If you or someone you know would benefit, please reach out to our Pastor or ministry lead Wesley Daniels for assistance.
