Our Discipleship Programs

At SCF we believe discipleship is the goal of every church ministry. What is discipleship? Simply put, discipleship is the prayerful Holy Spirit-backed speaking of the Word of God one to another. It involves walking with one another and remaining open to accountability and church discipline. It can occur one to one or in small groups, following established resources (ex. Fundamentals of the Faith, Simeon Trust) or simply reading through a book of the Bible together with someone younger in the faith. Each ministry that follows, though they differ in their makeup or “trellis”, the heart of discipleship or “vine” work remains the same.

Our prayer meetings occur every Thursday at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a time of worship, devotion, testimony, and prayer for the needs of our families, communities, church, nation, and world. On the fourth Thursday of the month, we have a family Bible study at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a time of studying the Word, and currently we are working through the book of Acts.

Teens ages 12-17 are encouraged to join our Youth Ministry which meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday mornings before Church from 9:00 – 10:00 am in the Youth Room! These gatherings include a time of accountability, Bible Study and prayer together.

We meet every 1st Saturday night of the month at 6:00pm for systematic theology or a topical study over dinner. We also plan regular social events to build community.

The men of SCF meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 9:00am before service for a time of exposition of the Word and practical application to our lives.

The women of SCF meet on the 3rd Saturdays at 6:00 pm for an evening of Bible study, currently working through the book of Daniel (Virtual). There is also a women’s discipleship group currently working through “The Fundamentals of the Faith” for those who are interested (In-Person) on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 9:00am before service.

Our older adults gather every other month on a Saturday morning for community, mutual encouragement in the Word, and brunch. All those “north of 60” welcome to join!

The Women’s Dorcas Ministry meets mid-week in the morning with women from the church and community to stitch clothing for missions and to bond through acts of charity.

As part of our outreach into the community, we have committed to support language ministries that will bring the gospel to those for whom English is not a first language. To this end, we support a Sinhalese ministry on the 2nd Saturdays of the month and a Filipino ministry that meets weekly on Sunday nights.

This is a men’s ministry two Fridays per month from 8-10pm at community gyms including a gospel presentation between games. During the summer months, pick-up games are hosted in the Church parking lot.

Always a great time of bonding and retreating to spend time with God, we host camps, conferences, and day retreats throughout the year including our Surrender Youth & YA Camp, Children’s VBS, Women’s Conference, and annual Marriage Seminar (to name a few). Members are also encouraged to attend affiliated conferences together (ex. The Fellowship National Conference, TGC, Ligonier, Sing). Our local outreach team also brings forward many events throughout the year to reach our community; from special Christmas and Easter services to BBQs after church or gathering for caroling, there are lots of ways you can join us!

Our Care Team is here for you and your family. Beyond loving support for the Church, the care team collects non-perishable food items as well as free-will offerings to help members who are in need. The care team can also help arrange transportation to and from Church. If you or someone you know would benefit, please reach out to our Pastor or ministry lead Wesley Daniels for assistance.
