Our Mission and Vision

We are a church family saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to the scriptures alone, for the glory of God alone. Our mission is to bring glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31) by growing in faith, reaching out with hope, and doing all things in love (1 Corinthians 13:13). The vision of SCF is to be a church of disciples making disciples, fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39), until Christ returns.

Our History

INCEPTION OF THE MINISTRY

1991
SCF began as a bi-monthly outreach ministry in Hamilton, Ontario. Under the mission statement “Reaching Out With Love”, our founding pastor sought to unite Sri Lankan communities who immigrated to Canada in the love of Christ.

PLANTING OF THE CHURCH

2007
Over the next 15 years, by the sovereign grace of God, the ministry grew and diversified, such that a multicultural church was planted in Mississauga, Ontario. Since then, God has continued to bless our church family with gospel growth.

PARTNERING WITH FEB

2017
SCF partnered with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada. God graciously placed us at Erin Mills Baptist Church from 2008 until August 2020, when He led us to our current location at Kenmuir Baptist Church in Mississauga.

Our Affiliation

Seekers Christian Fellowship is a Baptist Church, within the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada. We are a biblically grounded, gospel-centered church listed in The Gospel Coalition (TGC) Church Directory. We are committed to building a healthy church culture and are aligned with the ministry of 9Marks
