I AM NEW TO CHURCH
What is a Sunday Service Like at SCF?
What To Expect
It all starts with our corporate church service every Sunday morning at 10:30am. You will be warmly welcomed by one of our greeters who are always happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have. There are Bibles available if you do not have one (our gift to you!).
In these services you will witness the Church family worshipping God wholeheartedly through the reading of His Word, responding in prayer, singing (about Him and to Him), and cheerful giving. You will then hear the truth of God exposited or preached from the Bible, which is the focus of our time together. The Biblical Ordinance of Communion is administered once a month during our service, while Believer Baptisms occur every few months.
There is a nursery available for parents of children ages 0-3 and there is Sunday school available for children ages 4 to 11 where kids can participate in singing, a Bible lesson, an activity or craft, and a memory verse. Our curriculum alternates between the Gospel Project (Lifeway) and the New City Catechism. During the summers we do encourage children to remain in service with their parents.
After service, you will experience the loving fellowship of the church family “doing life” together. Before you leave, if you have questions about the sermon or would like prayer or to discuss the gospel (the “good news” of Christianity), a servant team member or elder would be glad to sit down with you for a conversation over coffee. Whether you are a Christian or not, we pray that you will experience the genuine love of Christ when you visit with us.
